Safety Is Always in Style

As attractive as the 2012 Venza is, it's even more appealing when you consider the extensive array of both active and passive safety features it provides. Our advanced Star Safety System is designed to help you avoid trouble. Yet should trouble prove unavoidable, Venza has a comprehensive occupant protection system, developed through our rigorous crash testing, that features seven airbags.[7]

Advanced Airbag System[7]

Not all collisions call for the same level of protection. Venza comes standard with an Advanced Airbag Aystem for the driver and front passenger that provides dual stage functionality. In certain front-end collisions, the system senses impact severity and adjusts airbag deployment accordingly.

Automatic High Beam[8]

Venza Limited features an ingenious Automatic High Beam feature. In the past, drivers had to constantly turn off their high beams when traffic approached. With the Automatic High Beam feature, a camera and microprocessor located on the rearview mirror continuously monitor for vehicles that are either approaching or directly in front of Venza. When a vehicle light source is detected, Venza's high beams automatically switch to low. Once the vehicle passes, the high beams automatically reengage.

Prodigious Performance

The Venza V6 Front-Wheel Drive accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 6.7 seconds.[7] Plus, its wide stance, available 20-in. wheels and lower center of gravity give it precise handling. What's more, when properly equipped, Venza V6 can tow up to 3500 lb.[8]

268-HP V6

The available 268-hp V6 FWD received an EPA-estimated 19/26 city/highway mpg rating[2] and offers smooth performance via a 6-speed Electronically Controlled automatic Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). Perhaps best of all, it's rated as an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle II (ULEV-II) engine.

All-Wheel Drive (AWD) With Active Torque Control

Whether you're engaged in straight-line acceleration, low-speed cornering or highway cruising, Venza's available AWD distributes power between the front and rear wheels according to driving conditions to help enhance traction.
